Golden South Sea Necklaces

Golden South Sea pearls grow in the gold-lipped Pinctada maxima, farmed in the Philippines. They are the only pearls in the world that grow naturally gold, and the color runs from pale champagne through deep, saturated gold.

That color comes from the shell and from the donor tissue used at nucleation, not from anything added afterward. Deep gold is the rarest end of the range and a small fraction of any harvest. Dyed golden pearls do exist in the market, which is why we guarantee natural color on every South Sea piece we sell.

Every necklace here is a single piece, photographed on its own. What you see is the strand that ships. Sizes run from about 8 mm to 16 mm, in round, semi-baroque and baroque.
