This strand
Measured and matched by hand
Sixty-one round pearls measuring 10.2 to 11.2 mm run the full 27.5 inches, and no two carry the same color. White and cream sit against deep gold, soft peach and pink, and the near-black of Tahitian pearls, so the rope reads differently depending on how it falls. They grade AAA for luster, surface and matching.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece, 27.5 inches long and hand-knotted on color-matched silk, finished with a solid 18 karat white gold clasp set with 8 diamonds totaling 0.04 carats.
The white and golden pearls grow in the Pinctada maxima oyster of Australia and the Philippines and the dark pearls in the black-lipped Pinctada margaritifera of French Polynesia. The pink and peach pearls are Edison freshwater, grown in Hyriopsis mussels in China. Every color here is natural to the mollusk that produced it.
