Tonight on NatGeo at 10 pm, The Secret Life of Pearls will air!
You can find details here.
I've personally had the honor of visiting the Paspaley pearling operation deep in the outback of Australia and I treasure the experience. While it was many years ago, it's one I will always remember.
If you would like to see where some of the world's rarest pearls are grown and where white South Sea pearls originate from and how they are farmed, you won't want to miss this!
Yesterday we held the anticipated final Fiji raffle. Congratulations Pearl-Guide member JulieBeth!
Julie has been a member of Pearl-Guide's community forum since March of 2013. She loves and designs with pearls. Some of her work can be seen here on Etsy.
We shot a video of the drawing and there is a surprise at the end!
Who wants to take the next Pearl Trip of a Lifetime to ... ??? :)
Two weeks ago we blogged about the CPAA trip to visit the JHunter Pearl Farm in Fiji. I've been there. The place is amazingly beautiful and I really wanted someone who truly loves and appreciates pearls to go. Last week I decided to take a chance and purchase 1000 tickets for our Pearl Friends on Pearl-Guide.com's forum.
We won :) We are going to hold a second raffle for current and active members of Pearl-Guide the week after Christmas. Someone is going to Fiji!
If you're a current PG'er, get on this thread :)

The nearly 1000 word article came out today! You can see the full article here. The golden pearl, the result of a recessive gene, grows in...
I've been so fortunate to spend the past half decade with a truly talented artist and pearl designer who never ceases to amaze me with her creative works both with pearls and without. Hisano was recently honored by the Cultured Pearl Association of America winning The CPAA International Pearl Design Competition's Orient Award for compelling design esthetic and inspiring a new affinity for pearls for her Pearl Geode designs. Hisano's little h line will be debuting at the Design Center in Las Vegas during the annual JCK Jewelry Show. I'm so proud of her. Our good friend, client and long-time Pearl-Guide member spent a couple of days with us this past week and decided to interview Hisano in a live webinar. In...
