This long Fijian keshi pearl necklace features naturally formed pearls measuring 9.3–13.0 mm, strung to a finished length of approximately 30.5 inches. Keshi pearls form without a bead nucleus, resulting in organic shapes and an expressive, fluid character that emphasizes natural variation and movement along the strand.
The pearls display a cool silver-blue color range, with subtle tonal shifts that move between pale silver, soft blue, and muted steel-gray hues. This restrained palette gives the strand a refined, contemporary presence while allowing the natural luster and form of each pearl to remain the focus.
The pearls exhibit a bright, highly reflective luster that enhances their dimensionality and surface character. The strand is finished with an 18k gold clasp, providing a secure closure while maintaining a clean, understated finish appropriate to the length and style of the necklace.
These keshi pearls were produced by J. Hunter Pearl Farm in Fiji, a small boutique farm with an annual production of approximately 25,000 pearls across all types. Assael has held an exclusive relationship with the farm since 2019 and has been the only company in the United States to offer these exceptional pearls, known for their natural color and distinctive character.
This necklace is part of the Assael collection now held in our Los Angeles vault and made available at a level of value that has not previously existed in the company’s 80-year history.
