Hanadama Pearl Bracelets
The same laboratory-tested hanadama akoya as our strands, knotted on twin silk and finished with a solid gold clasp and a safety catch. Every bracelet ships with its uniquely numbered laboratory report. Choose by size and color below, and ask us to photograph the exact pearls before it ships.
Choosing a hanadama bracelet
Four things decide how a bracelet fits and what it costs.
Size
Hanadama bracelets run 7.0 to 9.5 mm. 7.0 to 7.5 mm is the everyday choice and sits well on most wrists. 8.5 mm and up has real presence and wants a wrist that can carry it.
Color
Classic white carries the familiar rose overtone. Natural white was left out of pinking, the standard color step, and reads cooler and cleaner. Neither is the better pearl. It is a matter of taste.
The laboratory report
Each bracelet ships with a uniquely numbered laminated report from the laboratory that tested the pearls. Bracelets listed by an exact range, such as 8.00 to 8.48 mm, are one of a kind GIA pieces.
Fit
A bracelet should turn on the wrist without sliding over the hand. Measure the wrist and add about half an inch. Every bracelet is knotted on twin silk and finished with a solid gold clasp and a safety catch.
Before you buy
Does a bracelet really come with a laboratory report?
Yes. Every bracelet here ships with a uniquely numbered, laminated report from the laboratory that tested the pearls, exactly as our strands do. The GIA bracelets carry their own GIA pearl classification report and are listed by their exact measured size.
What length should I order?
Measure the wrist and add about half an inch. That gives you a bracelet that turns freely without slipping over the hand. Our bracelets are knotted to order, so if you are between sizes, ask us before you order and we will tell you what is possible.
What is natural white?
Nearly every akoya is pinked, a color step that brings up the faint rose overtone people associate with Japanese pearls. Natural white skips that one step. The pearls still go through maeshori and bleaching like every other akoya, are never pinked, and are chosen afterward for their own color. The look is a cooler white rather than the traditional rose. Neither is the better pearl.
Can you match a bracelet to a necklace or earrings I am buying?
We already do. If you order a bracelet at the same time as a necklace or earrings, we match the pearls to each other before anything is strung or set. You do not have to ask and there is no charge for it. It is the reason a set bought from us in one order looks like a set rather than pieces that happen to be the same size.
Can I see the exact pearls before it ships?
Ask us and we will photograph them for you. Every bracelet is knotted to order, so what you receive is made for you rather than pulled off a shelf. Request photographs or a short video on any product page, at no cost and with no obligation to buy.
Still deciding?
Hanadama is the category where the difference between two hanadama pieces is hardest to see in a photograph and easiest to see side by side. A specialist will put several on camera for you. Most appointments run about twenty minutes.
