When you admire this triple strand of akoya pearls in front of the mirror for the first time, one thing will be unmistakable - nothing quite compares to fine, white Japanese akoya pearls. Their iridescent luster and wavelike rainbows of orient put these pearls into a class of their own.
The pearls measure 7.0-7.5 mm, a perfect size to wear layered. This is considered a nested strand, so the pearls fall nicely with each strand side by side. The inner strand measures approximately 17 inches, the center measures approximately 18 inches and the outer strand measures approximately 19 inches. This length tends to fall loosely around the neck.
The pearls are individually knotted on twin silk, accented by diamond bars and the necklace finished with a solid 14 karat gold and diamond clasp with 0.46 cttw.
Akoya pearls are known for their perfect round shape and unmistakable luster unique to pearls grown in the cold coastal waters of Japan. The finest pearls from this region are known for their mirror-like luster and smooth surfaces
For decades we have been working with the same family-run farms in Japan. These families understand our rigorous grading standards and select pearls specifically for us.
