A fine white South Sea strand of twenty-nine pearls measuring 13.0 to 15.8 mm, round to near-round, with the upper sizes reaching close to 16 mm. The pearls carry thick nacre, superb luster, and radiant natural bodycolor, matched for size progression and shape so the strand reads with strong, even presence.
What gives a strand like this its quality is the luster, the depth and brightness of the glow across every pearl, and how cohesively that carries from end to end. It is the quality that comes alive in person and that no photograph fully captures. Each pearl here was selected and matched for that luster and that radiance, in the tradition Assael was known for.
Finished at approximately 17.75 inches with an 18K white gold ball clasp set with 158 natural diamonds totaling 2.32 carats.
