Who says all pearls are white? These dark, multi-hued freshwater pearls are called black, but as you can see, every strand is unique and every dark-colored pearl has a subtle overtone gives the strand a unique, one-of-a-kind look.
This stylish necklace is composed of fine quality 6.5-7.0 mm black freshwater pearls and is available in 16- and 18-inch lengths. At 16 inches it falls around the base of the neck, hanging loosely at the collarbone on a petite frame and wearing more like a choker on a fuller figure. At 18 inches it sits just below the collarbone.
Freshwater pearls do not naturally occur in black, so these pearls have been treated with permanent organic dye to achieve their colors. Each pearl is individually knotted on twin silk and finished with a solid 14-karat gold clasp.
