Our lovely, treated-black freshwater earrings have a radiant luster. These AAA quality pearls are round with a bright, reflective luster. The earrings are mounted on solid 14 karat gold posts.
As black is not a naturally occurring color in freshwater pearls, the pearls have been treated with a permanent organic dye to achieve their dark coloration.Before you decide

"These earring look gorgeous and are the perfect size. Anything larger would be too heavy for my ears. They are more of a grey than a black, but I know that is the color of black pearls since they are dyed. They seem to be of high quality and I've gotten complements on them. My one issue is that the posts are notched to keep the backing from falling off and for me, it is difficult to get the earrings off since I have to pull so hard."
