Akoya pearls are known for their perfect round shape and unmistakable luster unique to akoya pearls grown in the cold coastal waters of Japan. The finest pearls from this region are known for their mirror-like luster and smooth surfaces – qualities you will clearly see the moment you open the box.
For more than a decade, we’ve imported akoya pearls from just two sources in Japan. This is the only way to guarantee the pearls have grown for two full seasons – a farming technique known as “koshimono.” This is important because it directly affects the nacre thickness, or the durability of your pearls. You want your pearls to last a lifetime, and you want to be able to pass them down from generation to generation. Two seasons of growth guarantees you will.

Flimsy Chain
"I was looking forward to getting this pendant and chain so much, as it was a present for myself. But upon receiving the product, I am very disappointed as I don't think the quality of the chain is worth the price I paid for this pendant/chain combo at all. Buyers beware that the picture of the chain is misleading, it makes it appear thicker then it really is. I have owned akoya pearls previously and the quality of the pearl is the same and I got those for a fraction of the price of this. This was my first order from pearl paradise and will be my last. Really disappointed with the quality, as I paid duties and taxes, along with international shipping for this. Some might be okay with the quality as the other reviews suggest. In my opinion the price is way over exaggerated fort he quality of the product. Packaging was nice, therefore the one star."
