Formed in the cold waters of Japan, the pearls develop their striking silver-blue hue through a naturally occurring process, when trace proteins become trapped between the growing nacre and nucleus. The result is a completely natural, permanent color that shimmers with soft, cool overtones and layered iridescence.
Each baroque pearl has its own distinctive shape and character, adding depth and individuality to the strand. Carefully matched for tone, luster, and flow, these necklaces are available in 16- and 18-inch lengths. Every piece is hand-knotted on twin silk in our Los Angeles studio and finished with a solid 14 karat white gold clasp and safety hook for added elegance and durability.
Due to the rarity of silver-blue akoya pearls in this size, strands like this are produced in extremely limited numbers. When we are able to collect enough pearls that meet our standards, we create just a few pieces—each one entirely unique.
