Our grades consider luster, shape, surface and matching together, and luster is what they turn on. For surface we describe what the piece actually looks like rather than quoting a clean percentage. At these sizes a piece will almost always carry some marking, and a number cannot tell you whether that marking matters.

The pearls measure 9.0-10.0 mm - the most popular size in Tahitian pearls. They are large enough to be noticed, but not so large that they may cause a droop in the lobe. They are set on a very appropriate-sized medium-weight post and backing, both composed of solid 14 karat gold.

For decades our buying team has been making regular trips to French Polynesia to source these incredibly colorful pearls. Because we personally import every Tahitian pearl we offer, we can guarantee they are 100% natural color and have never been treated in any way.
