These pearls form their striking silver-blue hue through a rare natural process—when trace protein becomes trapped between the nucleus and nacre during pearl formation. The result is a permanent, organic color enhanced by soft overtones and a cool, metallic glow. No color treatments or enhancements are ever applied.
Each pearl features a baroque shape with its own distinct character and silhouette. Carefully matched for tone, balance, and luster, these strands are available in both 16- and 18-inch lengths. Every necklace is hand-knotted on twin silk in our Los Angeles studio and finished with a solid 14 karat white gold clasp and safety hook for added security and refinement.
Silver-blue akoya pearls of this size are exceptionally rare, as very few pearls develop both the color and the size needed to complete a full strand. When enough are collected, we craft a limited number of pieces—each one as unique as the pearls themselves.
