These lovely pearl earrings feature perfectly round akoya pearls. The sturdy, 14-karat gold leverback style fits securely on the ears and creates an elegant look. The pearls are accented with pave-set diamonds weighing 0.085 cttw.
Akoya pearls are known for their perfect round shape and unmistakable luster unique to akoya pearls grown in the cold coastal waters of Japan. The finest pearls from this region are known for their mirror-like luster and smooth surfaces – qualities you will clearly see the moment you open the box.
For more than a decade, we’ve imported akoya pearls from just two sources in Japan. This is the only way to guarantee the pearls have grown for two full seasons – a farming technique known as “koshimono.” This is important because it directly affects the nacre thickness, or the durability of your pearls. You want your pearls to last a lifetime, and you want to be able to pass them down from generation to generation. Two seasons of growth guarantees you will.
