This bracelet
Measured and matched by hand
This bracelet is strung with round akoya pearls measuring 9.0 to 9.5 mm, a size the top of an akoya harvest rarely reaches. The body color is white with a warm cast that sits well against rose gold, and the luster is the hard, mirror-like reflection akoya are bought for. They grade AAA for luster, surface and matching.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece with an adjustable fit and no clasp choice to make. The chain slides through a small gold bead so the bracelet draws in to roughly 6 inches or opens out to 8, which means it goes over the hand and then sits where you want it. The pearls are individually hand-knotted on color-matched silk so that no two pearls rub against each other. The ball clasp and a matching ball set opposite it are polished solid 18 karat rose gold, with ninety-six diamonds totaling 0.50 carats scattered across the two and flush-set into the metal. An 18 karat Pearl Paradise tag finishes the chain.
Our akoya pearls come from the cold coastal waters of Japan, where we have worked with the same family-run farms for decades. They know our grading standards and select to them.
