This bracelet
Measured and matched by hand
Fifteen round pearls measuring 10.0 to 12.0 mm run through this bracelet, and no two of them are the same color. White and cream South Sea sit next to deep gold, and those against the greens, silvers and near-black of Tahitian pearls, so the piece reads differently depending on which way the wrist turns. They grade AAA for luster, surface and matching.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece with an adjustable fit and no clasp choice to make. The chain slides through a small gold bead so the bracelet draws in to roughly 6 inches or opens out to 8, which means it goes over the hand and then sits where you want it. The pearls are individually hand-knotted on color-matched silk so that no two pearls rub against each other. The ball clasp and a matching ball set opposite it are paved with four hundred forty-four diamonds totaling 2.54 carats, each split by a sculpted wave of solid 18 karat yellow gold. An 18 karat Pearl Paradise tag finishes the chain.
The white and golden pearls grow in the Pinctada maxima oyster of Australia and the Philippines, the dark pearls in the black-lipped Pinctada margaritifera of French Polynesia. Every color here is natural to the oyster that produced it.
