Choosing a freshwater bracelet
Four things decide how a bracelet fits and what it costs.
Size
Bracelets run 6.5 to 10.5 mm. 7.5 to 8.0 mm is the everyday choice. On a wrist a large pearl shows more than it does on a neck, so 9.5 mm and up is a decision rather than a default.
Grade
AA+, AAA and Freshadama. AA+ and AAA look round and wear beautifully but are not truly round. Freshadama is our own top grade, almost perfectly round with higher luster, and on a bracelet that catches the light all day the difference shows.
Clasp
Chosen on the product page, where there is a selection in 14K and 18K, some of them set with diamonds. Every one is solid gold with a safety catch. We hold more styles than the page shows, so if nothing there suits you, ask and we will send other options.
Length
6.5 to 8.5 inches, strung to order. A bracelet should turn on the wrist without sliding over the hand. If you are between sizes, measure the wrist and add half an inch.

What length should I order?
Measure the wrist and add about half an inch. That gives you a bracelet that turns freely without slipping over the hand. The listed lengths run 6.5 to 8.5 inches and every bracelet is strung to order, so if you need something outside that range, ask us before you order.
Are the lavender and pink colors natural?
Yes. White, lavender, pink to peach and the colors in a multicolor bracelet are the pearl's own, straight out of the mussel. Black is the one exception, because no freshwater pearl grows black, so anything black has been dyed and we say so on the product page.
Which clasp should I choose?
On a bracelet the clasp is visible in a way it never is on a necklace, and people who wear one daily often turn it to the front. The product page shows the selection for that bracelet, in 14K and 18K, including designs set with diamonds. Every clasp is solid gold with a safety catch and any diamonds are natural. We keep more styles than the page shows, so if you do not see one you like, ask and we will send you more.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes, on our personalized bracelets. You can have a single initial, three initials, a traditional monogram or a date, each in a classic or a script face, engraved on the clasp so it sits against the wrist. Engraving is the one thing that makes a piece final sale, because it is cut for you. Anything not engraved is returnable as normal. We always send you a proof of the engraving to approve before it is cut.
Can you match this to a necklace or earrings I am buying?
We already do. If you order a bracelet at the same time as a necklace, earrings or a pendant, we match the pearls to each other before anything is strung or set. You do not have to ask and there is no charge for it. On colored freshwater this matters more than it sounds, because two lavender strands bought months apart will not necessarily agree.
