We have something very special coming up for you next month! As most of you know, every year in the fall we try to do something new with Tahitian pearls. We've brought in large lots of intense peacock drops, which we drilled and matched into AAA and gem quality strands. We've done a dark Rikitea collection that featured a lot of blue and cherry strands. We've done one year of pastels and even one collection of white Tahitians. We've got something special again this year. Back in March, we met with a buying group in Hong Kong to discuss creating a collection of multi-color Tahitian strands that would be really, really special. The idea was to create a collection using only A/B graded...
Happy New (PEARL) Year!
We've added some amazing pieces this week you've got to see. It's something we haven't done in a long, long time - BIG, ROUND pearl strands. When we say BIG, we're talking about Tahitian strands as large as 16 mm and even 17 mm.
Take a look how a strand like this compares with more traditionally-sized pearls, such as this strand of 8-10 mm Tahitians.
We've also added some extra large and extra special white and gold South Sea strands!
The last time we offered strands such as these was all the way back in 2008. That's a full decade!
We hope you enjoy as much as we enjoyed putting them together!
Continuing with the video series from the 2014 Pearl-Guide Ruckus in Palos Verdes, here is Josh Humbert of Kamoka Pearls giving a presentation about his life on a Tahitian pearl farm and about effecting change with sustainable pearl farming.
Our friend Cynde drove up today for another live Pearl Chat at Pearl Paradise! There are some amazing new finds in today's video, including a full explanation of a BRAND NEW type of Tahitian pearl that is just making its way to the United States!
Enjoy the show!
