This necklace is composed of thirty-three gem-quality Tahitian cultured pearls measuring 12.0–15.0 mm, with a total weight of 27.6 momme. The pearls display a very dark natural bodycolor approaching black, overlaid with an intense eggplant-purple overtone of exceptional saturation. Mirror-sharp luster and clean surfaces give the strand remarkable depth, clarity, and visual strength.
Each pearl was meticulously selected and matched for size progression, color intensity, and overtone balance, resulting in a strand that represents an unusually high expression of Tahitian pearl color and quality. Finished at approximately 18 inches, the necklace is secured with a platinum and 18K white gold clasp set with 40 natural diamonds totaling 3.00 carats, providing a refined and proportionate finishing element.
