Our grades consider luster, shape, surface and matching together, and luster is what they turn on. For surface we describe what the piece actually looks like rather than quoting a clean percentage. At these sizes a piece will almost always carry some marking, and a number cannot tell you whether that marking matters.

  • AA+Medium to high luster with some variation in shape. More marking, sometimes accepted for the beauty of the piece as a whole.

These earrings feature matched white South Sea pearls both measuring 11.9 mm. The pearls display bright natural body color with strong, even luster, smooth surface quality, and near-round shapes. Their size places them in a substantial yet versatile range, offering presence without excess.

The pearls are suspended from 18K white gold clip back mountings designed to provide secure wear and clean visual lines. The white gold complements the pearls’ natural brightness while the drop format allows subtle movement, adding refinement without drawing focus away from the pearls themselves.
