Are you the type who appreciates the finest quality gems? If you're considering this pair of earrings, you most likely are. You will be mesmerized when seeing your reflection while wearing these and you'll never want to take them off.
Classic akoya pearls are almost never naturally a bright white with a hint of rose. In order to achieve this highly-desired look, the pearls are bleached and then put through a process known as pinking. This process is done to nearly 100% of the akoya pearls you see at fine jewelry stores.
We believe, however, it's not always necessary to treat the finest pearls. By partnering with a producer in Japan, we've been able to introduce the first natural-white akoya line offered in the United States. The pearls in this line have each been hand-selected from freshly harvested pearls for their naturally white body colors and intense natural luster, with just a hint of rose.
Before the pearls leave Japan, we submit the best of the best to the Pearl Science Laboratory in Tokyo for testing and certification. These pairs achieve the highest hanadama rating and the certificates state there is no evidence of color addition - proof the pearls are naturally white. A unique, numbered certificate will accompany your earrings.
The pearls are perfectly matched and their size falls within the 8.5-9.0 mm range - large for akoya, yet not too big and easy to wear. They are set on solid gold posts, which will hold tight to your ears with secure friction backs.
When you receive these pearls and open the box, you will fall in love.
