Can you say, “Hong Kong?”, because I sure as heck can, in fact I have said little else over the last few weeks. That’s because Pearl Paradise is all set to embark on our next pearl buying trip and this time we’re headed to Hong Kong for the famous Pearl Trade Show.
For long-time readers, this trip has become something of an annual expectation, in fact I know that quite a number of you just may be keeping your fingers crossed in hopes we find your “wish list” item (I have a good feeling we will!). For me though the reason Hong Kong has been sitting on the tip of my tongue is the same reason this pearl buying trip has me so excited: because this time I get to go!!
Even better than that though, I get to take you with me!!!
Allow me to explain.
Earlier this summer we experimented by bringing Facebook’s new “Live” feature to our annual Pearl Ruckus party. The feedback this “digital Ruckus” received was overwhelmingly positive but held one reoccurring theme: give us more! Well, we listened… and then some!
It is my pleasure to announce that for our next Facebook Live event we will be bringing you, our pearl community, with us to Hong Kong on our buy trip. Guided by none other then our CEO, Jeremy Shepherd, and Hisano Shepherd of little h Jewelry, join us as we pull back the curtain on a pearl world few are ever lucky enough to see. There will be pearls from every major and minor farm, beautiful establishing shots, more pearls, short and long interviews, still more pearls, insights from experts, even more pearls, beautiful atmosphere shots, a whole ton of more pearls, and maybe if your lucky a shot of food or two (plus sooo much more).
Better still we want this to be a collaborative event. If you happen to be on Facebook while we are broadcasting and catch that notification pop up on your screen go right ahead and click it! Comments will be responded too in real time to the best of our ability and we encourage requests. So if you see something you like let me know and I will do my best to show you more of it—and even get it for you if you ask! Like I said, it’s like I am taking you with me, it will be practically like you are right there with us and let me tell you we couldn’t be more delighted to have the company!
So make a mark on your calendar from September 12th to the 15th, mark it “Hong Kong” and if you do I am certain you will find that those two words have made their way to the tip of your tongue too!
