Introducing one of the rarest and most exceptional offerings in the world of Akoya pearls: 9.5–10.0 mm Tennyo-grade Hanadama necklaces.
Hanadama is the highest recognized designation of Akoya pearl quality, certified by the Pearl Science Laboratory in Japan. But among these elite pearls, there exists a grade even more rare: Tennyo, or “Goddess.” Reserved for strands that exceed even Hanadama standards in luster, surface quality, and overall perfection, Tennyo-grade strands are true outliers—treasures rarely seen, even in Japan.
Akoya pearls in this size range are nearly unheard of. While most strands peak at 9.5 mm, these reach a full 10.0 mm at the center, making them among the largest—and finest—Akoya strands available anywhere in the world.
Each necklace measures approximately 18 inches and will arrive hand-knotted on twin silk and finished with your choice of clasp. A full certification from the Pearl Science Laboratory in Tokyo accompanies each strand, officially designating it as Tennyo Hanadama.
While the strands cannot be lengthened, we are happy to accommodate custom shortening. If you prefer a tighter fit or choker length, we can remove a few pearls and include them with your order—or use them to create a matching pair of earrings. Our team is here to tailor the piece to your personal style.
