9.0-9.5 mm 18 Inch Natural White Hanadama Akoya Pearl Necklace

This strand of natural white akoya pearls is sure to take your breath away. There is something about the intense luster and orient only found in this special category of pearl that mesmerizes. Reflections appear to come from deep within the pearl, creating a perfect mirror.

The pearls measure an ungraduated 9.0-9.5 mm in size. This is typically the largest size we carry in this grade. The necklace is strung to 18 inches, which falls at or just below the collarbone. This is referred to as the princess length - the classic and most popular. It pairs well with any outfit.

Every pearl is individually knotted on twin silk so the pearls never rub or scratch. The necklace is finished with a solid 14 karat clasp that features a safety hook so your pearls will always be safe and secure around your neck.

Most akoya pearls are lightly pinked after harvest to enhance their color. Natural white akoya pearls are different. These pearls are selected for their naturally white body color and fine luster and are not subjected to the pinking process, resulting in a naturally white appearance.

For decades, we have worked closely with a small network of pearl producers and specialists in Japan who understand our standards and select these rare pearls specifically for us from the very top range of the hanadama category.

Once imported, every strand is carefully reviewed by our Chief Creative Officer, Hisano, to ensure consistency, balance, and overall quality.

Each strand is accompanied by a uniquely numbered, laminated certificate from the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan. This report verifies not only their Hanadama quality but also confirms that no color treatment has been applied.
