This 8.5–9.0 mm hanadama akoya pearl bracelet represents the highest range of quality within this larger, more substantial size.
Hanadama is not a single grade, but a range of fine-quality akoya pearls. When a strand stands apart for its luster, surface quality and overall balance, we submit it to the Gemological Institute of America. GIA examines the pearls and issues a pearl classification report, and on qualifying akoya it notes that the pearls fall within the quality range the trade knows as hanadama.
GIA holds a stricter line than the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, particularly on surface. Not every strand PSL certifies as hanadama would earn that note from GIA. Every strand that does would meet PSL's requirements as well.
The pearls in this bracelet measure 8.5–9.0 mm and are carefully matched for brightness, shape, and consistency. Each pearl is individually knotted on twin silk to protect the bracelet over time.
The bracelet is finished with your choice of a solid 14K gold ball clasp or an 18K gold clasp set with natural diamonds. Every clasp has a safety hook. Each bracelet ships with its GIA pearl classification report.
