These exquisite earrings feature our finest 9.0–9.5 mm Hanadama akoya pearls, perfectly round with sharp, mirror-like luster and smooth, bright surfaces. Each pearl is accented with brilliant round-cut G-VS1 diamonds totaling 0.20 cttw, set in solid 14k gold.

Hanadama is the certification awarded by the Pearl Science Laboratory in Japan, representing fine quality akoya pearls. Not all Hanadama are equal. Within this standard, quality can vary widely. We select only the top range of Hanadama pearls — those with the thickest nacre, deepest luster, and most refined surfaces — ensuring every pair is truly exceptional.

For decades we have partnered with family-run farms in Japan that understand our exacting standards. These families carefully select pearls that meet our criteria and reserve them exclusively for us. Once imported, every pearl is personally inspected by our Chief Creative Officer, Hisano Shepherd, who rejects any that fall short of the highest Hanadama grade. This process guarantees that the earrings you receive are consistently at the very top of the Hanadama category.

Each pair is accompanied by a uniquely numbered and laminated quality report from the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, certifying their Hanadama status.
