Hanadama Akoya Pearls
Hanadama akoya pearls are the world's finest akoya pearls - period. Hanadama is the highest grade allowed by the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, and is a grade exclusively granted to akoya pearls that exceed all grading standards created and set by Kokichi Mikimoto, the founder of the cultured akoya pearl industry.
In order to be certified as a Hanadama akoya strand it must meet the highest requirements in luster, surface cleanliness, shape, and have a minimum nacre thickness as determined by optical fibers and x-ray.
The certificate that will accompany each of the Hanadama strands from this category is an original, numbered certificate from the Pearl Science Laboratory, stating that the strand is indeed a Hanadama strand - the best in the world.
These necklaces are in very limited supply. We will typically have only 20-25 strands in stock at any given time. The pieces shown are single, princess length strands. However we would be happy to create a choker, double or even triple strand of these beauties if you so desire.
