For the past several years we've sourced the finest, top-graded natural-white hanadama strands from the Kamimura family in Japan. This multigenerational pearling family is known throughout Japan for matching some of the finest natural-color hanadama strands on the market.

Over the past few years, Mr. Kamimura has been personally collecting special pearls to create a few pieces that are the rarest and finest of the rare - perfectly graduated natural-white strands. The strands strands were so limited, he only offered them to a few select wholesale clients. We were so honored to have the opportunity to select 11 of these truly spectacular strands.

The pearls in this unique strand measure 6.5-10.0 mm in size. Akoya pearls rarely reach sizes larger than 9 mm, graduating up to this size in a perfectly complementing strand is extraordinarily difficult to do. Every pearl is individually knotted on twin silk so the pearls never rub or scratch, and the necklace is finished with a solid 14 karat clasp with a safety catch. At 18 inches, it will sit just below your collarbone.

Although akoya pearls are known to be classically white with a hint of rose, this is a look that is in influenced post-harvest. In order to achieve this desired color, they are put through a process known as pinking. This is a universal process that nearly every akoya pearl has gone through. The pearls Mr. Kamimura works with have skipped this process because they naturally exhibit the preferred white with subtle pink orient that treatments attempt to emulate.

Accompanying your strand of pearls is a uniquely numbered and laminated pearl quality report prepared by the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, which not only describes in detail the beauty and perfection of your pearls, it also states that there is no color treatment found.
