She's going to want to know that what you gave her is valuable. Fortunately, the quality of our pearls is higher than that of Tiffany's. How do we know?

Unfortunately, there is no officially recognized, standard system of grading pearls, so each seller has their own set of rules. Generally, when sellers are grading pearls they look at luster, surface, shape, and color. So let's compare our freshwater strand against a high-end competitor's strand that is 600% more expensive.

Shape:

Both strands have near perfectly round pearls, however, the competitor's strand has pearls that range in size from 6.0 - 6.5mm while our strand has pearls that range in size from 6.5-7.0mm. Bigger is better and in the pearl industry you usually pay a premium for larger pearls.

Color:

Color tone is very important in a strand of pearls. You want to make sure that the pearls in the strand are uniformly matched and, in the case of freshwater pearls, closer to a white color. Other Important Differences:

If you look at the strands closely, you can see that the Tiffany strand is knotted every 4 pearls while the Pearl Paradise strand is hand knotted every other pearl. This is very important if the strand were to break. On the Tiffany's strand, pearls may fly everywhere. On the Pearl Paradise strand all of the pearls will stay together and it is just a matter of having it restrung.
