Freshwater pearls are quite possibly the most versatile variety of pearls produced today. They grow in nearly every conceivable shape, the widest range of sizes, and exhibit a palate of pastel colors ranging from dark purple, to light pink and white. Freshwater pearls grow predominately in China, and to a much lesser extent in Japan. While the most commonly produced shapes are baroque, a very small percentage, less than 2% of total production, are considered round or very near round. Our primary focus is that top 2%, selecting only the roundest, cleanest, most lustrous product available on the market today to offer our customers.
Our vast selection of freshwater pearls includes the classic white, natural-color lavender and pink, a mix of natural colors in our multicolor collections, as well as treated black colors, in necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants and sets. We offer these in every popular size, from as small as 6.0 mm, to as large as 10.0 mm.
For the classic look, and the most popular selection offered, consider a freshwater pearl necklace in a 16- or 18-inch length. For the young lady still in her teens, we suggest a necklace in either the 6.0 to 7.0 mm range, or the 7.0 to 8.0 mm range. For young adults to the professional, a slightly larger size may be appropriate. If unsure, our bestselling freshwater pearl necklaces are from the 7.0 to 8.0 mm collection.
Although freshwater pearls are often considered to be the lower-value pearl variety, we are proud to offer a line like no other; our freshadama pearl line. Our freshadama collection features the finest freshwater pearls produced today. They are virtually perfect, with intense luster, shine, and a rare aesthetic feature known as orient. Our freshadama line has been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres show, The Tyra Banks Show, as well as several industry publications such as Pearl World Journal and Colored Stone Magazine.
