Hanadama pearls are the finest akoya pearls produced in Japan. They are separated from every harvest and treated as a completely separate product - the finest of each harvest. The pearls are perfectly round, virtually blemish free, and have a strong, metallic luster.

In order for akoya pearls to be called "hanadama", they must be certified by a pearl-testing laboratory in Japan. Due to popular demand, we have begun submitting sets of pearls to the laboratory for certification in a single document. Every hanadama-certified set of akoya pearls we sell is accompanied by the original, numbered certificate
